The village has four pubs, two grocery stores, a post office, a hardware store and an acclaimed restaurant. Hill walking is available in the mountains behind the house. Fishing, golf, irish musicales and lismore castle are all within minutes. Traditional song, dance and storytelling evenings are held in the village booley house in august. During the winter months, be on the lookout for the ballyduff theatre festival. Several visiting groups also put on plays throughout the year, the druid theatre group from galway are regular visitors
